Hello, I'm Ana
I am a project manager, a parent, and an expat based in Lisbon, Portugal.
A few years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Portugal wasn’t in the grand plan. Like many relocation stories, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far larger.
The opening weeks were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, higher expectations. Routine tasks felt more tangled than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But slowly, routines formed. We discovered places that worked for us, met other families, and started building something that felt stable.
Why I Built Atlas Park Stream
Most information online was either corporate relocation advice or surface-level tourism material. What was missing was honest, everyday family perspective.
This site exists to close that gap — practical guidance based on real life in Portugal.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Hands-on insights from living in Portugal
- Centered on family life and everyday realities
- Updated whenever a real change occurs
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism-board resource
- Not a paid-review platform
- Not a generic travel diary
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Portugal continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Lisbon or anywhere in Portugal, don't hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Ana
